Cool Another November To Remember The To Do List

Fist off, a little explanation! You see, turkey day comes a little late this year so may of the holiday who-has, what-nots and or doo-dads actually start before we all do that gob to your obble thing, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... though we kinda keep the guy in the red suit thing on the down low til after turkey day (not such a great day to be a turkey but at least they are the guest of honor. or not) We are gonna have to mention a few holiday events a little earlier than usual.
But there are a few other holidays to mention as well.

    Such as
Nov 3rd We all Fall Back (Daylight Savings Time)
Nov 5th is election day (kinda depends on your perspective on this one(
    Nov 11th is Veterans Day
    Nov 28th is Thanksgiving
And speaking of early holidays for our Jewish Friends Hannukah begins Nov 27th

    Nov is
    Pepper Month
    Pecan Month
    Raisin Bread Month
Fun With Fondue Month (not really sure what that implies but do what you can with it)
    Peanut Butter Lovers Month
    Apple Month
    Pom Month

    More holidays here
Printable Calendar of Daily Holidays & Observances from Brownielocks.

And more to come (of course)

Ok, If you are not prepared to here about the aforementioned holiday who-has, what-nots and doo-dads you may want to skip the rest of this first post of the thread til later on.
    If not, awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy we go.

Re: Another November To Remember The To Do List

OK, we need a flavor of the month. Sorry I'm a little late with this, but I had some thinking to do. Think think think... . Now November is one of those months where there is a flavor that just kinda sticks out. One so tasty the smell of it alone can make your taste buds go crazy. Yeah, I'm talking about cinnamon! Sweet and spicy cinnamon. A flavor that truly takes a back seat to no other flavor. One of the greatest smells and tastes in the world (in my opinion) But, of course, having cinnamon alone be the flavor would be just too easy. And that is just not how we roll. We need to look outside the box (after we figure out why we are in a box to begin with because if you never put yourself in the box you can always think outside the box) Sooooooooooooooooooooooo... what's it gonna be? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!?!?!???!?! You know, there is a parfait day in november and everyone likes a parfait yet not enough places offer a parfait. I'm sure that if offered a parfait many would say yes please to the offer of a parfait. Or not. Sundae day is in November too but we just did toppings in october. Of course, November brings thanksgiving which means pie! And what's better on pie than a good old scoop of your favorite flavor of ice cream. Yeah, make mine ala mode please. Warm apple pie with a scoop of cinnamon OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BABY! Now that's the stuff. Of course, that takes us back to cinnamon again. Now, I know there are some who don't dig cinnamon so I'm gonna try to appease them too by saying you can mode in any flavor you like (or go unmoded if you so desire) It's your thing do what you wanna do. Which still leaves us at cinnamon or your favorite alternative flavor. And the holiday flavors bring many different tastes too the table. It offers us a chance to broaden our horizons. To try something new. To take our tongue on a new adventure down the flavor highway. To have me explain why this is getting so long and why I still have not gotten to the point (my bad) Never had chips before? Have some chips? Always been a vanilla kind of person? Let a little chocolate in your life! Try a waffle cone instead! Try some frozen yogurt instead of ice cream! Shake the shake habit for a malt or float! Be different! Be Unique! Take a chance, you just might like it! Yes folks, the flavor of the month is diversity! Try something new. Mix in something different. Top it a new way. Open a new flavor door for yourself. Be diverse! As always (and especially this month) all chips, chunks, dips, dunks, swirls, twirls.... (You know the rest) are in as well. Try something different this November and expand your flavor to savour horizons!
